The Lord's Supper
Seventh-day Adventist Christians take part in the Lord's Supper, or communion service, as a commemoration of Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross.
On Communion Sabbaths, announced in the bulletin
1837 Brandau St, Knoxville, TN 37921
Remembrance and gratitude
Communion is a solemn moment to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice, and to express gratitude for the redemption and forgiveness of sins achieved through His crucifixion and resurrection. It is a time to remember what Jesus has done for us, and to give thanks together as a church family.
What the service includes
The service includes the ordinance of humility (foot washing) and the emblems of the Lord's Supper:
- The bread, a symbol of His body
- The unfermented wine, a symbol of His blood
